Favorite day of the week coming up again. It’s like having 52 birthdays a year! Let’s see what I was able to grab this week.
Harley Quinn #58—Derrick Chew Variant
This cover has such great colors and at first glance it looks a little busy. Once you take it all in it really looks nice. Not too sure if I like the sideways covers yet or not. The bat makes me laugh every time I look at it.
Go crazy with some Harley Quinn.
Young Justice #2—Sanford Greene Variant
I picked this up to see how the team continues to come together. There were some talks that Teen Lantern didn’t actually appear in YJ 1 stating that it was only the GL manifestations and not her so this may be her actual first appearance. Only time and the masses will tell. Either way its a great cover by Greene.
Get hooked on Young Justice
Sonic The Hedgehog #13
Sonic is up against Rough & Tumble!! What kind of sinister robots is Eggman going to unleash on the world? Now that Eggman has regained his memories things are really heating up.
It’s super Sonic (the Hedgehog).
Immortal Hulk #13
I will say it again, this book has one of the best stories Marvel is putting out right now. Add these amazing Ross covers and you have something truly great. Is the Hulk victorious against his father and The One Below All? When we will see what they are doing to Dr. Frye? I reluctantly gave this series a shot and I am glad I did. Read this book!
The story goes on and on Immortal Hulk.
Adventures Of The Super Sons #7
I picked this up purely because there is an introduction of a new Green Lantern. He is on the cover but in the comic he is actually a GL in training and doesn’t have a ring yet. We will have to see when he shows up again.

Green Arrow #49—Francis Manapul Variant
I picked this book up specifically because I really like this cover. I like how Green Arrow is posed, like he is a hunter stalking his prey. Definitely one that is staying in my PC.

A bit about this section
The Wednesday Wall Climb books are not intended to be a comprehensive list of what to buy / look for. Instead, these are books actually purchased on Wednesday. More importantly, the motivation behind buying the books. It is good to get a sense of why and not just what. Also, remember to look through the bins and back issues when ever you visit your Local Comic Store (LCS). Some of the Wednesday Wall Climb are not new releases, but still important books to buy. In some ways, even more important as they have had some time pass and the market gets a sense of a book. Stars are always being born and collapsing.
You will likely not be able to find every book you want in a week and you need to be okay with that. Take some time and think about what you are going after and try to target those books you like. Not every book pays off in value, and if you just buy everything without giving your own thought, you will quickly run out of money and be stuck with numerous books you are not interested in. And if you are broke, you at least want stuff you like to ease your pain. Just kidding. Be smart and buy wisely!
