Your Wednesday Wall Climb

A relatively light week for me since most of what I picked up were just my weeklies. Lets see what I picked up.

Batman Who Laughs The Grim Knight #1 Gabriele Dell Otto Cover

I really liked Dark Nights Metal and I especially liked the one shots about each of the Dark Multiverse Batman mash-ups. The Grim Knight is another Dark Multiverse Batman mixed with the Punisher so it looks like it will be fun.

Scooby Apocalypse #35 Riley Rossmo Variant

This is a pull book for me and I am pretty upset about the next issue being the last. The Nanite King has destroyed the mall hideout and Scooby and the Gang mourn the loss of their fellow comrades while trying to find a way to defeat their enemy. We will see what happens here in the last issue.

My Little Pony Nightmare Knights #5 Jennifer L Meyer Variant

My Little Pony is a pull book for me as well. I love this 1:10 variant and it was not very easy to grab. I found it on my third LCS check for the day. It seems to be doing relatively well online as well

Oblivion Song #13

This book is yet another pull book. I am really getting sucked into this story. At first I thought I wouldn’t like it but the world building is impressive. What are the higher level organisms in oblivion trying to do? Looks like we may find out in the next issue.

Amazing Spider-Man #17

Hunted is getting started and I am enjoying it. I have said before that this volume has been somewhat of a let down so far. Hunted is looking up though. Kraven is coming for Spidey but this time he has a special surprise for the wall-crawler. We will see how this plays out over the coming months.

Back Issue Beauties

Nothing this week, had no time to hunt. Hopefully next week will be better.

A bit about this section

The Wednesday Wall Climb books are not intended to be a comprehensive list of what to buy / look for. Instead, these are books actually purchased on Wednesday. More importantly, the motivation behind buying the books. It is good to get a sense of why and not just what. Also, remember to look through the bins and back issues when ever you visit your Local Comic Store (LCS). Some of the Wednesday Wall Climb are not new releases, but still important books to buy. In some ways, even more important as they have had some time pass and the market gets a sense of a book. Stars are always being born and collapsing.

You will likely not be able to find every book you want in a week and you need to be okay with that. Take some time and think about what you are going after and try to target those books you like. Not every book pays off in value, and if you just buy everything without giving your own thought, you will quickly run out of money and be stuck with numerous books you are not interested in. And if you are broke, you at least want stuff you like to ease your pain. Just kidding. Be smart and buy wisely!
